Here's a little something you may not know about one of our favorite instructors...
Alexandra initially began taking yoga classes in 2004 to relieve her tight muscles from running. She soon learned that yoga provided much more than a deep stretch. The unexpected physical rigor and calming effects of yoga brought her back to the mat for more each time she practiced. Today, stress relief is the most powerful impact that she receives from yoga. Alexandra spends most of her time outside the studio working toward her doctoral degree in clinical psychology. She completed her teacher training in 2010 and has been teaching regularly since. In addition, Alexandra completed The Trauma Center’s Trauma Sensitive Yoga Training in 2012. She is currently in the process of writing her doctoral dissertation on the benefits of yoga for complex trauma.
